Our activity days are designed specifically around the needs of your group and event. Whether you are wanting to grasp an understanding of the world of bushcraft or want to share your special event with family and friends and provide a unique and memorable way to do so, we can certainly help. Introduction to bushcraft
Spend just one day with Embers Bushcraft and you will learn the basic skills of fire, shelter, craftwork and natural history. This course is designed to introduce you to the world of bushcraft and give you the basic experience to understand the nature of the topic and hopefully inspire you to learn more about a fascinating and absorbing subject. We will show you the 6 methods of fire lighting including fire by friction, introduce you to basic carving skills, build natural and man-made shelters in the woods and take a look at the natural world around us. Whilst there is an element of instruction and safety the course aims to give you the chance to show off your newly found skills through practical sessions throughout.
Advanced bushcraft course
This course is a more in-depth and extended version of the Introduction to Bushcraft day. Additional topics will cover water sourcing, personal health and safety, game preparation and campfire cooking methods. With the course being spread over the duration of 2 days there will be more opportunity to spend time on individual aspects of the course allowing time to practice and perfect your skills. With the overnight option, there is also the opportunity to spend the night outdoors in your own manmade shelters and have more basic bushcraft and outdoor experience
Family Days
Having shared experiences can enhance what we learn and allow us to take those memories back home with us. Our family days are primed to offer that shared experience through creative and interactive experiences.
